Interaction with Geta medical college chairman Dr. Chet Raj Pant about BPH/MPH program
One of the major manifesto of NEPHA was lobby/advocacy with Geta Medical College for beginning of Public Health (BPH, MPH) program. This interaction was held in presence of former MOSD secretary Er. Gogan Hamal, Geta medical college chairman Dr. Chet Raj Pant, health education expert Mr. Shiva Prasad Sapkota and in presence of public health professionals. The main objective of interaction program was to advocate about the involvement of NEPHA in plan, policy formulation of MOSD as well as lobby with Geta medical college about initiation of public health program. MOSD secretary Er. Hamal committed to support NEPHA from ministry level in different health programs & campaigns & beginning public health program from Geta medical college. Geta medical college chairman Dr. Pant was very much committed in beginning of public health program and suggested NEPHA to discuss at provincial, federal level for decisions & implementation. He insisted Geta medical college to be established as Deemed University.
